Need help with *S on SP.

Hello again! Im scooring a *S Spanair Plus in about 1 month.. i joined them in April.. Now the problem is if my *S will only be available to use until April 2007? because it says: "The points you earn (during Apr. to March next year) can be used during that period, including to change status (*S in my case).. so i just have 8 months to use it.. or 1 year from now?

Thanks in advance, i apreciate any answers since i need to take flight tomorrow.

The strange thing.. is that when i fly on Z to and from CPH its counted like i have flown on an other partner (* A.) not like Spanair miles.. now this is much better for me since i need to acumulate at least 3000 miles and 6 flight on an other airline who is *A. or 25 flights on Spanair.

First a q: Please tell us why you are with Spanair Plus and not Eurobonus? Probably you are the only Spanairplus-member on this board
To answer your question; I read it as you will keep status for another year following (in your case) may 2007. If it is indeed not so, the rules of Spanair plus is the worst in the business and you should definately switch quickly.

My point was that even if you fly mostly JK, Eurobonus should pay off better than SP? I have yet to see any advantage to SP over EB
My understanding is that you get the same benefits with EB as with SP on JK flights + with EB you can upggrade on long hauls etc and you always get 200% COS for all busines class fares. Also it should be extremely simple for you to reach gold with your flying pattern and EB?
So my question was basically what you see as advantages of SP?
And yes, I would guess you will get your new status immediately and then it will be valid for another 14 months or so starting march 2007. That is also the same as for EB by the way.

thanks! yeah maybe you are right.. im going to stick anyways to SP until march.. then maybe changing to EB, but i see that silver on EB doesnt have acces to lounge and only baggage allowance +10.. in SP you have lounge acces in MAD and BCN and baggage allowance +20!

Have a nice week ^
