Oh, never seen this thread before but the day after Wimbledon this year I was given an opup to 1A on LHR to ARN and Bjorn Borg was sitting in 1 C on a md80...

I didn't see him on the Arlanda Express!

Lemmy from Mötorhead was in T5 at the Scandanavian Tapas bar (there's an oxymoron if ever I saw it) waiting for his flight to OSL at 14.30 today

About a year ago I was sitting a couple of rows behind Peter Schmeichel, from CPH-EDI. Does he count as a celebrity, I don't know?

It was one of these small, cramped planes (sorry, I'm not really an expert on the makes and models!) which have a row of only one seat down one side, and two seats the other side.. so for someone like him it was a very tight squeeze, especially when he stood up.

A couple of sightings

A few datapoints to keep the thread alive:

- May 1, 2006 (the day after Swedish Queen Silvia's birthday festivities in Stockholm): The Norwegian crown prince couple on ARN-OSL. They and their entourage (a couple of aides and a few bodyguards looking bored) had the first ~5 rows on a 737 and boarded from the stairs connected to the gate

- July 2008: Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt and his girlfriend on FRA-ARN (apparently connecting from somewhere else). Quite a few passengers approached Persbrandt and asked for autographs and photos, making the situation more and more embarrassing...

- April 2009: Former Swedish prime minister Göran Persson on CPH-ARN in one of these painful departures with a low pitch, fully loaded 737s. He was in 2C and funny enough the former Swedish minister of defence (and political opponent to Persson) Mikael Odenberg sat in 1C. Persson looked modestly happy when Odenberg reclined his seat. I leave to others to interpret the symbolism of the situation
