Welcome Praveen! It is always fun to see more people here.

Though not on SK I had a funny experience flying OK PRG-HEL. I was in C and reading the in-flight magazine, there was a six pages long article about the Czech skier Kateřina Neumannová. I hadn't heard about her before but read a bit, she had won all kinds of medals and awards. When meal service began I put down the magazine and took a look across the aisle, only to see the very same Kateřina from the article sitting there! I remembered that she was upgraded to C after the doors were closed...

Jan Stenbeck was never the CEO of SAS, maybe it was Jan Carlzon?

Thanks for corrections

Thanks for the warm welcoming!

Yes, sorry about surname for the CEO. Stenberg is correct, as a former SK employe you would think I should get it right from the beginning .

I once saw Carl I. Hagen (norwegian politician) and his wife Eli on a flight from BGO to OSL some years ago. Someone had taken one of their seats (all up front somewhere.. I was further back in the plane), and it ended up with one of the FA's to announce on the PA that "every ticket has a seat number on them, and that everyone is supposed to sit in the seat mentioned on their ticket".

Swedish queen Silvia was in 1A on SK903 (ARN-EWR) on wednesday. She had the red Shiraz before a 1,5 hour nap. I was actually moved to 4D (which is fine), but my original plan was to get some daytime sleep and make use of the super levers. Will give it a new shot next week. (Now, some will say I have argued the bulkhead on the 330/340 is not the preferred seating. I still not like them, but the possibility to raise the footrest above limit is indeed tempting).

So Silvia bumped you out of your seat reservation? Royalty trumps EBP now, what's the world coming to

Actually royalty is someone I would not mind giving up my seat to. Not that one has a choice anyway.

I flew OSL-CPH-EWR with Norwegian politician Carl I. Hagen and his wife Eli (with the great hair). They boarded the CPH flight very last, seated in Extra. At CPH they went to the Scandinavian lounge, and were at the gate early and one of the first to board. They were seated in row 5 in business, the middle seat pair. Carl slept for most of the flight, his wife reading magazines. They were met at the gate in EWR and the last I saw of them they were escorted through immigration in a special VIP lane. Quiet and low-profile travelers. Except for the mentioned hair, of course

I've flown with Clown Prince Haakon, Mette-Marit and her illegitimate son, I don't understand why they allowed her to marry Haakon, its a joke. Åge Sten Nilsen the host of Singing Bee in Norway and the Molde Football Team several times, they always fly economy.

Back in January, Norwegian CEO Bjřrn Kjos, in economy on SK937...

He was on his way to pick up his first brand new Boeing 737-800, and after deplaning, he was congratulated with his new plane by no other than the moderator of this forum, Tommy777

I flew on the same plane as Carl Bildt in June on the way to IAD from CPH. I was in Y+, he was of course in C with one bodyguard and his Chief of staff and maybe someone else.

I was actually sitting next to his press secretary (got her name from a business card and later checked it out). During the flight, she pulled out some documents to read, with "HEMLIGT" (SECRET) stamped on them. Discreetly (I thought) I tried to read what was printed, but she noticed and angled them away from me... The only thing I could read was the schedule for Bildt's stay in DC.

During the end of the flight a girl in 15F (I was in 14H) began to talk to the two guys in 15GH and she asked them what they were gonna do in DC. They started rather humbly with "working". She asked with what, they answered "we're bodyguards" and she of course asked "anyone I know?". After a second (guess they thought about whether they were allowed to tell her) they told her and she got really excited. Me and the press secretary smiled at each other...
I was actually surprised he had such a large security detail with him but I guess they have to cover all hours of the day.

You guys who have been to IAD know you have to wait for the stupid buses to get to immigration. Well, just before the waiting area, Bildt and his staff gathered. Every passenger passed him as we were ushered down to the waiting area by the funny/crazy german (?) lady who works for SK in IAD (about 60 years old, german accent, anyone know who I'm talking about?).
When all passengers had deplaned and waited for the buses, the lady started screaming that we should make room in the middle (Like Moses in the Red Sea). Down comes Bildt and his staff to board their own bus. Got to have been very awkward for him...

The Kallur-twins

Susanna and Jenny Kallur (two Swedish athletes competing in sprint hurdles) were on SK403 flying ARN-CPH on November 7. They sat in M. One if the twins sat next to someone that I assumed was her boyfriend, while the other sat alone, poor thing :-(

The Kallur girls must have connected from New York, think they have been on rehab/operation there last week.

I was on a flight with Bildt in 2002 or early 2003. On a 767 and in C. But then he was flying as a private individual and this was after 2002 when things were really bad for foreigners at US immigration; I remember the CEO of LH calling it an outrage. It was also a rather grim economic climate and I think it was pretty much myself and Calle in C.

You should have seen his expression when he saw the huge line in the immigration hall on the LHS for foreigners (the SAS flight arrives toward the end of the afternoon peak). No VIP treatment for him back then.......

I think the "crazy lady" is Danish. Someone of that age bracket (most are younger) checked me in on my last flight from IAD and we started speaking Danish. She has an Anglo surname, presumably due to marriage.

I have had bad luck out of IAD. C has been full on my last two flights.... but row 14 is decent.

Golfer Parnevik a row behind me in C from Chicago-Arlanda. As I had been away for some while I had ran out of "snus". I asked the pursor If he had any. He kindly told me that he would try his best to do something for me... He then came over after a while and tipped me that he had seen Parnevik put in a huge "prilla". I went over to him and he gave me a whole package!
Ive been a fan of him ever since, although Im not a golfer...
