Question about expiring points
I have a rather big amount of points expiring later this year.
Must I use the points for travel before the expiration date, or can I book a bonus trip before the expiration date and travel after?

I would very much guess you have to use your points before the expiry date, then whatever you want to use them for can be done at a later date.
I really don't see why a bonus trip or a hotel stay a few months later, after the expiry date, should be a problem as long as you purchase it in time.

A little warning, if I understood the CSR correctly: once you book your bonus trip, you CANNOT change your itinerary after the points have expired! And, obviously, if you have to cancel your trip, the points that expired will NOT be refunded back into your account.
