SAS | Eurobonus Lounge Meetings

Inspired by similar threads in other airline forums (M&M Lounge meetings!) and the recent near-misses some of our members have had on here, I thought it might be time for the SAS | Eurobonus forums to receive such a lounge meeting thread as well.

How does it work?

Please post date and times, which lounge you will be visiting, where you would be up to meeting some other fellow SK travellers or FT SAS | Eurobonus forum members directly in the above wiki.
If you are so kind to offer guesting others into a lounge please also indicate that information, including your flight numbers directly in the wiki (since *A only allows guesting for people on the same flight).

Feel free to clean up and remove old dates yourself and help keeping this wiki clean!

Hope this helps, by saying it means hoping providing the flight info helps to make it work out more easily for both lounge access givers and lounge access beneficiary.

I don't expect to get any requests to be guested in - but I certainly hope to put some faces to FlyerTalk handles by sharing the times and dates of my visits. Let's discuss award availability over a plate of chlorine-rinsed kale salad or toast Anko with a glass of cheap prosecco

Too right
Hopefully the hot dogs are on around 1500ish Tuesday in Oslo ideally washed down with a Cava or 6 which for reasons unknown are always better stocked in Oslo than in CPH or ARN.

The Norwegians have more discerning taste buds and avoid the cava?

Just kidding a bit here, while certainly not great it is a passable cava that has been there the couple of times I tried it.

I am probably not very big on inviting guests I don't know, but if people happen to be around on my rare occasions in the lounge in Scandinavia, I'd be happy to meet for a coffee and chat. Even a glass of cava and a chat....

I'm glad to see some use already in the thread and am looking forward to hopefully meeting some fellow SK travellers!

It is actually "happy to help" in the way of guesting people into the lounge should somebody be on the same flight without lounge access, as correctly pointed out above.
I doubt there will be any takers, especially given the new *A guesting rules. In the years of being active in the LH lounge meeting thread there were never any takers.

Oh, that’s right, particularly with the young rule about having to be on the same flight for the lounge benefit to be extended.

Does SAS’s automated lounge gates actually verify that the +1 following in behind is on the same flight as the Star Gold member? That would have required a software update on SAS’s end.

Since I usually sit at the bottom living room part of the CPH gold lounge I am pretty sure they do, having seen many people try to get into the lounge that way and then getting an angry red beep.

The easy workaround for this is of course to give your guest your paper BP and you use your own BP on the phone. Increase your chances by entering separately and timely offset from each other. This only works in the HUBs though as the café lounges actually have a cool-down before you may enter with the same BP again. Of course I wouldn't suggest anybody to actually try this, as we wouldn't want to exploit SAS, but if you do at least commit to it and don't get caught.
