Just one question related to this post maybe. Is it okay to check my bag in the morning while my flight is a night one at 9 PM? I assume SAS counter is open anyway as it runs the flights throughout the day but not sure if there is an automatic bag drop machine or if they will check mine that early.

Depends on the airport in question, if we are talking the 3 main hubs for sure no problem. Other airports may be more questionable.

It used to be that the SAS Plus/Star Alliance Gold counters are open all day, and the SAS Go counters are not always manned, depending on the gaps between flights. I have not been for a while, so I only assume that it is working the same way still.
