Last Wednesday there was a dedicated Premium drop off/check-in area and flying in the morning (albeit after the highest peek) there was no wait at all.

Yes, but the point of this thread is that SAS at its hubs (ARN/CPH/OSL) used to have three check-in areas: General/GO; Plus/Business/EBS; EBG. The separate EBG check-in area (also listed as Star First AFAIR (obviously for connecting passengers)) is the one that has now been removed.

So the point of this thread is not that there is no premium check-in area anymore, but that the separate EBG check-in area has been merged with the Plus/Business/EBS.
