Service level decrease for commuters in Jutland
I commute from AAR to the Middle East at least once a month. Now it just dawned on me that SAS goes back to the good old "Cimber bankruptcy days" when the new summer schedule goes live. 2 departures daily AAR - CPH (8:40 and 14:50) on Saturdays, where one who commute frequently to that part of the world flys out......
I can only say one thing: "It is not good enough SAS, would you not like to keep the customers instead of sending them into the arms of DSB (Danish State Railways)
I will now have to look at BLL alternatives as maybe KLM thrue AMS or Lufthansa thrue FRA or MUC (even giving me the A380 on the last possibility)
SAS you are digging you own grave these days!!!

- or are you going to be a leisure airline ??? You are certainly not an airline for business travellers with that approach.........

Assuming SK is looking at the numbers for each route nowadays with a magnifying glass and it probably makes no sense to operate a 92 mile flight more than 2x on a saturday?

Problem is that AAR is extremely poor located - and only for very few persons it make sense to fly from Aarhus to Copenhagen, as DSB and car often would be both faster, ceaper and more convienient.
You have a fair point as it relates to transfer flights - but I guess it hard to justify a high frequncy just for that.
Ihave the pleasure of weekly CPH-KRP flights - and there you can talk about a challenged business. And as this on bloody DY, who has very limited transfer options, most of my Jutland based colleagues use BLL as their departure point for international travel.

The real problem is that the 300 km journey between AAR and CPH takes 3 full hours on DSB's 1980s infrastructure. A half-decent high-speed rail system would cover such a trip in well under 2 hours, and make the AAR-CPH flight completely expendable.
