Who gets to use Fast Track at GOT?

Totally confused by Fast Track at GOT.

Looks like it is only for those who can explain why €25 is a worthwhile expense to wait less than 5 mins in a queue (there is a pay machine). That said I have no idea who it is for. The people on the desk across any airline (SK, SN, BA, AF, KL) have no idea.

But each time I have waved my card, I have received the "just this once" reply intimating that I was not really eligible.

I cannot see the point if it is not a standard benefit to status/class and how it justifies the salary of the person to stand there.

Any ideas?

Domestic - usual SAS Gold swipe card machine

International - on the right hand side upstrairs there is a big sign and roped off area. And wow! 5kSEK per year. The mind boggles on who would actually pay that????

5K Swedish crowns is unbelievable. Doesn't GOT have a VIP service? And it's cheaper no?

VIP Express is a package which makes your journey as effective and comfortable as possible. When you arrive at the airport, VIP services take care of your check-in. You are then escorted as quickly as possible through a separate security control and on to your flight. Only the hand baggage check-in is included to guarantee as effective a service as possible.

Price from SEK 1,200 per person, additional travellers SEK 800 per person.
What a deal... they "check-in" your hand baggage for you. Does that mean they print out your boarding pass for those too busy to use the mobile check-in?

Will look for the priority lane, never noticed it, probably because long lines are not exactly a problem at GOT in my opinion.

Domestic GOT as explained above, swipe cardiff in separate lane. (SAS EBG) Can be useful during busy morning times. The International fast track is swedavia operated. You can but 10 Times cars etc. No airlines seem to have any interest in offering this to c-class status.

I'd say most of the times you do not need fast track , still sometimes it would be useful, sometimes only 1-2 lanes are open which can cause ŕ bit of waiting time.

From the airport stand point it is not so hard to understand that they want to offer the service. To get extra revenue for the existing security staff. I am pretty sure they built this track hoping to get a few airlines to sign up for there elites and J pax. CPH have done that pretty sucessful, even norwegian have signed up there.

But I think they didn't analyze the situation at GOT enough. There is not much longhaul and most of airlines offering J-class from GOT is cutting back on costs anyway. I get the sense that most traffic out of GOT will soon either be European business flights with low-cost/one-class services, charter flights or specialized routes like IST. I don't see TK or IR signing up for fast track of elites anytime soon.
