CPH Express

New fasttrack option in CPH

24.11.2011
Passengers faster to gate with CPH Express

More Airlines will soon have the opportunity to offer their business class passengers faster passage through the terminals and security screening. Copenhagen Airport is currently testing CPH Express, a new offering to the airlines.

The airlines are now close to being able to offer their business and first class customers extra swift passage to their gates.

Copenhagen Airport and the airlines Emirates, Swiss and Brussels Airlines are currently testing two new fast tracks through security screening and on to the gates.

A strong wish
The name of the new service is CPH Express. Airlines making use of this service can guarantee their business class passengers two dedicated express lanes at the security screening.

The airport guarantees that 99% of all CPH Express passengers will be through security in less than five minutes.

As an international traffic hub, it is important for Copenhagen Airport to give all airlines the opportunity to offer their business and first class customers a service such as CPH Express, said Carsten Nrland, VP, Sales and Marketing for Copenhagen Airports.

Emirates wants it
Emirates recently decided to expand its daily service between Copenhagen and Dubai to feature larger aircraft and more services to its passengers.

Emirates is known worldwide for its excellent level of service during passengers entire journey. Our first class and business class passengers as well as our Skywards Gold members will automatically be offered extra benefits such as CPH Express right from the start of their journey, said Teddy Zebitz, Area Manager, Nordic Region, for Emirates.

And Norwegian too
Johan Bisgaard Larsen, Marketing Manager for Norwegian, states, that Its is not only the traditional network carriers that want to use CPH Express.

"At Norwegian, we are also very interested in offering the CPH Express service to our growing group of business travellers, said Johan Bisgaard Larsen, Marketing Manager for Norwegian

It is expected that CPH Express will become operational beginning on 3 January 2012.

So, they would allow more people to use their Fast track in CPH? I was surprised a couple of times when Fast track queue was longer than normal one

I think it's a new fasttrack and I'm guessing it'll be in Terminal 2 somewhere.

I read somewhere, that the new fast track option will be in connection with the present security check point between terminal 2 and 3 . That is, separate from SASs fast track.

No, it's not the Fast Track (which remains unchanged). What they did is to block off the very first and very last line through the regular terminal 3/2 security and declare those CPH Express. Unlike the Fast Track security this leaves you in the duty-free store instead of next to the Scandinavian Lounge. Nevertheless it's a great invention.

OT: Being dumped in the duty free shop annoys me highly.. I'm sure it makes them a good deal of money, but that experience totally cheapens CPH.
