6977 x2 (Biz) x2 (return) = 27908 points (approx).

You can't rely completely on the distance calculator on circle mapper, but what you can do is go to the Star Alliance website and look up the flight itself. Usually they round op the amount when calculating miles/points.

Angry

Well well now I found out that booking a business class from ARN-NRT with TK on the webside books into D class - SAS only give Economy class points for D class on THY. Thats sooooo lame!!! The ticket is 22.000 SKR and I can only book the D class on THY.com, no other business code is offered... And the D class is full flex... What did I Miss???
Guess its to stupid to book, since a B,S or Y class would give me way more points flying on SAS - for half the price. And then just upgrade to Business if possible.

Thank you SAS!

I understand it is not EB but the operating carrier who decides how much they want to award you with... (which booking class should be Discounted Business etc). That said you might want to post to another programme in this case.

You might think so but the fact that you were actually considering flying Economy Extra on SK instead of THY in C (before looking at LH) just shows the power of EB as a FFP ;-)

That said, I also find it strange that THY booked in D only gives 100% to EB. Does not really makes sense when comparing to LH Z and TG J.

I had a booking ARN-IST-BKK in D in end of April 2010 (17108 SEK). I canceled directy when I realized what his thread is all about.
Within the *A it should be the same, if I was the president ;-).
AC is an other example.

PS Instead I opt going ARN-ZRH-NCE return in J or Z (super saver businessdeal) for only 4800SEK that would give me 2000x2 for the ARN-ZRH + 2000x2 (hopfully) for the ZRH-NCE so something like 7200-8000 EP total. DS

If it is the operating carrier that decides the earnings, my question is why do they only offer 150% or 100% in lower business class? Don't they want people from other FFPs to buy their tickets, or are they trying to force people over to their own FFP?

I've always thought it was EuroBonus being cheap when not giving 200% in certain Business Class booking classes...

Plus beware of codeshares, LX flight number on SK (and KF) metal gives nada, zero, zilch, nil miles for EB.

Although for the business saver deal this does not matter as those are available only on pure LX metal.

So strange, I had a flight on LX/SK codeshare march 1. It was LX 4667/SK 605.

That flight gave me 2760 EB-points:

01 Mar 2010 Stockholm - ZrichSK 0605E Z Business Discounted*
Baspong 2 760.

Booked it thru LX website.

Hmm interesting, maybe they have finally updated the system to be more fair.

Or maybe the limitation is only on economy class.

Any more experiences?

Just to get it straight, you were booked on the LX flight number, right? Even though your statement shows the SK flight number?
