Tight Connection in SFO?
Hello. I'll be arriving on an AA flight from Miami into Terminal 3 at the end of the month and will have exactly one hour (assuming the MIA flight arrives on time) to make a connection on a QX flight to PDX. Is that enough time to get from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1? I believe I'll have to exit security and re-enter at T1. Any tips? I read somewhere that the fastest way can be through central parking.
Thanks.
Thanks.

While it is true that walking through the garage is like taking the diameter of a circle vs the circumference, I personally don't think it's worth it. I don't think you will save that much time maybe 2 minutes or so.
The AA gates are on pier E, south end of terminal 3 and the AS/QX gates are on pier B. Depending on how fast you walk, it should be less than 10 minutes once you are outside security at G to the entrance to security at B.

AA to CX
I have never connected at SFO before. I have an AA flight DFW to SFO that arrives at 12:05. I connect to Cathay Pacific flight at 1:35, an hour and a half. This goes from terminal 3 to the international terminal. Do I have to exit and re-enter security and is 1.5 hours enough. Thanks everyone.

No. According to this:

Cathay Pacific flies from the A gates. The United-International connector provides airside access to the G gates. You will be required to re-clear security.
That said, this connection should be a breeze assuming bags are interlined and there is no significant delay by AA.

Also note that if you are in C/J or F, terminal A now has a "premium" customer lane, just next to the Clear lane. The one time I tried to use it the line checkers seemed completely confused but the sign clearly says it is available for premium pax.
