Customs at SFO & Transfer.
I'm looking at a connection that would have us fly in from YYJ on an CRJ. How is SFO for customs clearance? All previous trips have used SEA or YVR for US/CAN clearance.
We'd be transferring from a United flight to a US Airways flight, is the baggage interlined between these two carriers? And how long to get from Customs to the US Airways (domestic) section of SFO? Will 2hrs be a long enough connection?
Thanks.

Since YYJ doesn't have pre-clearance, you'll arrive at the int'l terminal, and US is in T1.
I'm not sure if you'll be bussed in from T3 to Int'l area or if you will arrive straight at Int'l.
Once you're outside the customs, Int'l to T1 is an easy 10-minute walk, even with luggage. In my experience, customs/immigration at SFO are pretty quick.

Have I read the SFO site correctly, once we clear immigration/customs you leave the secure area and then have to clear security again to enter the B gates? If this is true, are the security wait times as bad as LAS or SEA?

That is correct. Wait times are generally not too bad at US.
