OAK-SFO Transfer
Using FF miles, I'm flying SFO-LHR. I am using half of a free Southwest ticket to fly RNO-OAK (no RNO-SFO availibility for my airline of choice). I will have a suitcase and a snowboard. I am planning on using BART around noon. How dramatic will that be with my luggage? I know there is a single line change.
I greatly appreciate the help of any area pros.

BART at noon shouldn't be a problem, as you're well outside commute hours. The only thing that could generate crowds would be a sporting event (Cal, Raiders). There is floor space near the doors on a lot of trains to accommodate wheelchairs, and you could easily place the snowboard or luggage there and sit next to them. I have a big travel backpack and never a problem on BART.

Thanks for the tips. I forgot to mention that it's a Wednesday afternoon that I'm doing this. I get into OAK around 11:30 and my flight out of SFO isn't until 7 p.m. So time is no worries.

When I have luggage on BART, I try to ride in the cars at the front or back of the set; they tend to have less passengers than the middle ones. Also, the in the middle of the cars, there is a row where the seats switch from forward-facing to rear-facing. I find this creates a great little space that I can easily slide my 22" rollaboard into.
