Favorite breweries?

My SO and other are contemplating a visit to the north-of-San Fran area, with a desire to visit and tour some of the local breweries. We enjoy wine and have done some winery tours, but we are primarily beer drinkers (only quality micro-brews) and wanted to see the best for the area. In googling, I see lots of places in Sonoma/Napa, some have regular tours, some by appointment and some not at all. But what is worth seeing? A place with good food is a nice bonus. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is a brewery in San Leandro (east bay) called Drakes. On Fri afternoons between 4 and 7, it is opened to the public, and for $5 you get 4 12oz glasses of beers/ales, which are some of the best I've tasted. I have also been to North Coast Brewing in Ft. Bragg, which has some fine beers.

While not really scenic, Moylan's in Novato has some pretty good brews.
