Rubicon
I had a disaster of a dinner at Rubicon this week. Abnoxious waitress, cold/luke warm food, tiny portions (I mean if I am still hungry the portions are too small) and the wine list was way over priced. I assume Larry Stone is no longer there? The list used to have a few gems for a reasonable price.
Won't be going there for sometime...

Had the good fortune to chat at length with Mr. Stone in Tokyo this week where he was acting as guest sommelier at a place for which I edit the advertising text.
He was pouring his own wine, Sirita Cabernet Sauvignon (1998), and during our conversation he encouraged me to check out Rubicon. I may do so one trip soon. John, as I know you are no stranger to fine dining, and with this report contrasting with Larry's advice, I have to admit I am curious now.....
