MUNI Metro subway closure, daily 9:30PM-5:00AM from 7/31/15 to 1/30/16

A heads up that subway service between West Portal and Embarcadero will end each night at around 10PM and reopen each morning around 5AM. Bus shuttles will provide service instead of streetcars. Embarcadero Station is supposedly open for transfer to the T - Third Street except between Aug. 17-Aug. 24 and between Aug. 31-Sept. 10. During that time, work will take place at Embarcadero Station.

Seems like this will cause a lot of problems following Giants games.

From Nightly Shutdown Begins As Subway Receives Upgrades | sfmta.com
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), which oversees all transportation in the city, including the Municipal Railway (Muni), today announced that on July 31, work will commence on the Radio Replacement and Blue Light Emergency Telephone Replacement projects. These two infrastructure projects will improve Muni’s systemwide communication capabilities and keep trains running safely and reliably through the city.

Construction will require early subway shutdowns nightly from 10 p.m. until the start of service in the morning at approximately 5 a.m. During shutdowns, bus shuttles will provide substitution service between The Embarcadero and Saint Francis Circle from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Regular rail service will continue to operate at all surface stops. Muni Metro customers can board bus shuttles at the island F Line stops near the subway stations on Market Street.

and there has been NOTHING on SFgate.com or any other news outlets!

I found out from a friend who was going to be visiting!

It will suck as MUNI NEVER works out replacement buses well, and buses hold many more fewer people than the MUNI underground cars.

SF MUNI Metro (underground) closed evenings thru Jan 2016

NO underground MUNI lines will run between 9:30 PM-1:30 am from July 31,2015 - Jan 2016.
So getting to the neighborhoods after a late dinner or a Giants game will be a pain...

REMINDER: Muni Subway System Closed Evenings for Upgrades

Friday: All Muni Metro subway stations (with an exception of Embarcadero BART/Muni Station) will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., each night beginning this Friday. It is anticipated that this subway shutdown will take effect until the end of January 2016.

During these shutdowns, shuttle service will be provided between Market/Steuart Street and St. Francis Circle nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Shuttles will service island stops along Market Street except stops between 7th and 8th streets where transit-lane paint work will take place and curb stops will be used at this location.

The shutdowns allow the SFMTA to implement system upgrades and address maintenance of infrastructure in the subway to improve Muni’s communications and keep trains running safely and reliably throughout the city. The two upgrades will be conducted beginning this Friday through the end of January 2016.

The Radio Replacement project will modernize Muni's currently outdated radio system and improve communications between Muni Operations Control and vehicles out in the field
The Blue Light Emergency Telephone Replacement will upgrade and expand a vital emergency system throughout the underground tunnels

Following nighttime Giants games, trains from the ballpark will be allowed to use the subway. From @sfmta_muni:
Reminder: Post game OB baseball svc will be allowed through the subway during nightly closure. These OB trains will stop at all stations.
