sfo international terminal A-star alliance side lounge?

I have an upcoming air canada flight that will likely depart from A3a. Is there a star alliance lounge in A? (Plenty of choices in G/F, but security twice reduces the value.)

(I'm oneworld sapphire as well, any chances they'll let me in with a star alliance bp?)

I was recently invited to the Air France lounge as a Star Alliance Gold flying in Economy on AC. Maybe you can get the same.

Air Canada flies from the International Terminal at SFO. AC contracts to use the Air France lounge as nnn notes above from personal experience.
You will have no access to a oneworld lounge with a *A BP.

Yes, I think that SFO does the typical airline grouping: keep the alliances together airside to the extent possible. International-G is Star Alliance. I-A is One World and Sky Team.

If you find yourself in an exceptional situation, such as the Air Canada flight departing out of I-A mentioned above, inquire with check-in and gate agents about lounge access via a contractual arrangement your airline has with another.

Thanks for the advice. I was going to check in via the web as usual, but I'll stop by the check in desk as long as the line isn't long.

Found this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/star-...-terminal.html
that suggests it's fairly established.

I won't plan on it as certain, but seems likely.
