Is this easily and obviously walkable from BART?
Is the Avis neighborhood location at the Sears Auto Center, Tanforan Mall, 1198 El Camino Real, San Bruno, easily and obviously walkable from the San Bruno BART station? (Around 8:30 a.m.)

Sears Auto Center is right next to the BART carpark.
Presuming you actually need to go to the Auto Center, keep in mind that it's NOT inside Tanforan itself (where Sears is), but is instead is out in the carpark on the northern side of the mall. Google Maps will show you exactly where it is - just zoom in on the north side of the mall and you'll see "Avis Rent-a-car" labeled on the map.

We were right by there yesterday, to see a movie at the Tanforan Center, parking just beyond the Avis location. It seems like the rough equivalent of two short blocks, but all within the parking area for Tanforan Shopping Center.
IIRC, the shortest walking route is as follows: exit from the San Bruno BART station toward the closest entrance to Tanforan Center/Cinemas. But before you get to the Center/Cinema entrance, turn right and walk through the covered multi-story garage (ground level) going north. When you exit the garage, you should see the AVIS sign and the Sears auto complex.
