Good job starting a Master Thread! ^

As I've mentioned before, I'm on Walgreens e-mail list, so I got this coupon that way. Scored another deal: there was a BOGO on Nature Made vitamins, plus this $5 off Walgreens coupon, plus a $1 off manufacturer coupon. Bottom line cost was ~$18.50; would have been ~$50 without all the offers.

This coupon, BTW, actually seems to give $5 PLUS applicable sales tax (if any) total discount.

Hint: You can look at Walgreens weekly ad (for your local area) online. Simply go to www.walgreens.com and in the middle of the page, under "Your Local Walgreens" it says "View Weekly Ad." That's where you click to find out what's on sale this week.

You can also sign up for their e-mail -- on their home page, lower left corner under "Sign up to receive W Photo News and Offers, plus Special Offers and Savings, by email." That's where these dollars-off coupons come from.

Well, if you are truly serious, try the slickdeals threads on Walgreens, which they affectionately call WAGS. There is a new thread every week,

Prepare to be overwhelmed.

Anyone knows, what's going to happen, if I'll combine this coupon with mail-in rebate?
And after that submit my rebate request through internet without mailing the paper receipt to Walgreens?
Is it the way to be paid for getting of free stuff, or it's not?

For example, I buy cosmetics for $20, pay with coupon only $15, and claim mail-in rebate for $20, because $20 is the price of cosmetics indicated on the receipt.

Yup - that's exactly how it works

Yes. They had a $10 mail-in rebate for purchasing $20 worth of Nexxus hair products last month. I purchased $25 of hair product, used the $5 off coupon, and still received my $10 rebate.

However, your example is not a good one, because even after the $5 off coupon, you STILL paid for $20 worth of Nexxus; hence there is no apparent reason why you wouldn't be able to get a $10 rebate off a $20 purchase.

The poster to whom you responded gave an example where they paid only $15 for the product after coupon, but still want to claim for a $20 purchase. That is different from your example. @:-)

(Also, note that the Walgreens in-store $-off coupons, such as this $5 off $20, require you to have spent the minimum AFTER other in-store, manuf, etc., coupons are applied. Read the fine print on the coupon itself.)

Coupon for 11/22 - 23?

Any $ off coupon this weekend that someone will be so kind to post? I need to buy a bunch vitamins to send overseas (as gifts) and this will certainly come in handy.

Thanks!

Actually there's usually three weeks worth of advanced ads w/ongoing coupon, RR and rebate matchups (plus the wonderful monthly "overlap" deals).

Really hard to keep up. (But I'm managing. )

It doesn't matter what the OOP (out of pocket) is in this case, only what the total value of products purchased is. Whether it's $20 or $25 or $60 worth of products BEFORE store or manufacturer's coupons are deducted, the customer has satisfied the purchase requirements of the rebate.

(Also, note that the Walgreens in-store $-off coupons, such as this $5 off $20, require you to have spent the minimum AFTER other in-store, manuf, etc., coupons are applied. Read the fine print on the coupon itself.)
And yeah, the fine print on the coupon says X. But the reality at the cash register is Y. (As in YMMV.) @:-)

. . . . . . .

I am now certifiable. Between Safeway and WAGS for the month of November (with one day to go), I've spent ~$150 for ~$1200 worth of groceries, household items and Rxs. (A couple of items had small rebates on them so the OOP will be a tad less. I also have a $15 iTunes card to spend, as well as vouchers for free manicures and pedicures, and an ARCO gas card coming. But I digress.)

Yesterday's WAGS smash and grab: $1.82 oop for $103.13 worth of razors, toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, make-up, Lindt and Altoids. Almost as good a buzz as a mileage run.

Next month: figure out how to turn the proverbial one red paperclip into AA GCs. *heh heh heh*
