Ebates Big Fat Check Day - [Master Thread for all things ebates]
 

Well, today is February 15th, and I have yet to recieve any Paypal payment for my $100.00 in ebates currency. It was all earned during the Oct - Dec qualifying period, but no money yet.

Has anyone recieved their paypal payment?

Yes, mine had already posted. The time-stamp according to Paypal is:
Time: 20:03:36 CST

One of my purchases from 12/1/07 was missing and I had to follow up with ebates 3 times since 1/1/08. I finally got it manually credited on 2/12/08. I needed that missing credit to trigger the > $5 cashback, which already paid on 2/15/08.

Have you checked under your ebates account and make sure all your cashback from 4th quarter purchases were posted without problems? I advise you to contact their customer care to get things straight out since $100+ is no small money. You did shop a lot last Xmas to earn that much cashback, right? :D

I verified my Paypal address, my Ebates address, and they are the same.

All my transactions posted - my balance on Ebates shows as $100.00. All my purchases were prior to December 31st.

No payment yet - now at 10:38 PM CST

That's your current balance, right?

To be more specific, were your cashback posted and dated before the cutoff date, 12/31/07 (4th Quarter earnings)? If not, you probably would have to wait till the next payout in mid-May, even though your current balance is more than the requirement minimum.

If your cashback did all post in a timely manner during the 4th Quarter in 2007, technically, 2/15/08 isn't officially over yet. Maybe Paypal is a little bit behind schedule and still working on their last batch?

Wait till the day is over then contact ebates if your payment is still MIA. Good luck!

Yup, they all posted before the cutoff of December 31, well before then even. I guess I'll just wait and see, but thanks for all the input. If anyone else has recieved money today, please let me know what time. Thanks.

OP, was this $100 balance from purchases, or from Tell-A-Friend referrals? According to their T&Cs, the Tell-A-Friend referral payments do not count towards the $5 minimum required for payout. However, as long as you had at least $5 in purchase CashBack, you should be receiving a payout...

Sometimes it does take them some time to process. Last time, I received mine a day or two late.

$20 was referrals, $80 was purchases. I'll be patient! I hope I get it soon, I was counting on it for this weekend...

certain purchases, such as Dell, will take longer to clear ... I had that issue a while ago.

I received a Paypal payment a few days ago including tell-a-friend purchases (from a few months back).

Received my $70 check today in the mail! Somebody shout! Shopping!!!

Question: Should we make sure the amount is correct? Are we automatically credited for purchases made through Ebates? Bear with me on the questions, this is my first check.

My old-skool paper check showed up in the mail today. $22.07 isn't anything to write home about, but I'll take it.

I do a LOT of online shopping for work.
And althought I did my 1k spending on AA.com for the xmas bonus-most of the stores I shop at give a better $ for $ return on ebates(unless there is a great promo at one of the Hotel/Airline Malls-which,sadly,was not the case this year :( )and cash is very good to have once you get to a destination via your free miles!

But I am a greedie lil' piggie and I want more for less!

Anyone else here shop through Ebates to get cash back? I was supposed to get about $72 via Paypal on 2/15 but it never went through. I thought it might have been because the 15th was a Sunday and then Monday was President's Day but then another week went by without any payment.

I did a little internet research and found this on their blog:





Dear Ebates Member,

You may have noticed that your cash back payment from Ebates has not yet arrived - but please rest assured that your payment is in process.

Given the challenging retail climate, a large number of our retail partners have been slow to pay our commissions for purchases you made in November and December, and these commissions are what allow us to pay your cash back rebates. To ensure the largest possible payout, we have delayed processing your payment until the last possible moment. We will complete processing and send a payment this week that reflects all purchases for which we have received payment from the retailer.

Any payments not received by Ebates as of today and paid this week will be sent to you in a special payment as soon as we receive them. You will still see these orders as cash pending in your Ebates' account.

Our goal remains to pay members cash back as quickly as possible and we apologize for this inconvenience.

Log into your account and go to payout method. My patment was there as an electronic payment. The default is now to put it on a virtual Visa card unless you tell them you want a hard card or a transfer into your bank account. I'm really suprised they didn't make any effort to tell us about this!

Just checked - my account still is set for Paypal payments.

Mine had been set for paper checks; they changed this without notification. It doesn't even seem to be an option anymore.

I think I believe them that it comes down to specific retailers. My wife received her full payment (about $20) on the 15th. A few days later I received $75 of the $90 they owed me. When I e-mailed to complain they sent me a similar message to what you received.

Interestingly, the one specific store not to be paid on mine was Sears, which just posted higher than expected earnings for the quarter, maybe their failure to pay some suppliers is part of the reason why. :eek:

If I might ask, which specific companies failed to pay on your purchases?

Just received my ebates check for $272.It was a little later than usual-but everything is there.
I have to say I am quite pleased with ebates.They are MUCH more efficient(and polite if there are questions)then the Marriott Rewards/AA(same company handles both) shopping portals.I am always having to chase the MR points.

My payment arrived (via PayPal) on time -- actually, a day early (Feb. 14).

My check didn't arrive, and when I wrote them about it through their site, they didn't even bother to respond. The site now says my next check should mail on 15 May!

Also, I've noticed that (a) some of the purchases (eBay and hotels, in my case) aren't posting, and (b) some that are posting are posting for an amount lower than the amount actually paid to the vendor.

I can't help but remember Click Rewards . . . . :(

I've been waiting for my Q4 2008 rebate (about $35) for some time now. I sent a note to Customer Service last month, and received the following reply:

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. We are very sorry for any confusion regarding your Ebates account and your pending payment. Due to collection problem with some of our stores, we have not yet sent out your 2/15/09 payment from Ebates. We expect to make some progress in the next few days, and send the payment soon. We did not expect to experience a delay like this, or else we would have let you know in advance. Your patience is appreciated while we work to send out your payment as soon as possible.

I just sent another note, as I haven't received the rebate or any news of it since then.

Does anybody else have a delay in receiving their $?

My check was short for two purchases from the same store... still shows as pending in my account.

I got my Big Fat Payment. :)

Site says my check was mailed 15 May. It hadn't arrived before I departed on travel, let's hope it's waiting in the accumulated mail when I get back.
