Something be aware of: I used an anonymous email address to sign up with Trip Advisor. I used the same anon. address to create a Facebook profile.
When I submitted a Trip Advisor review recently, they "knew" I had a Facebook profile and a pop-up window offered to link the TA review to my FB profile.
Creepy. Instantly TA was able to access my FB profile, or at least to verify its existence. By the way, I do not have TA's travel tool installed on my FB profile. It seems that FB has sold its email list to TA anyway.
For that reason I will not provide my address to TA for their free cap offer. Presumably it will be sent FB's way.

got my baseball cap too. third item i have gotten from tripadvisor. got a heavy duty plastic bag to put in liquids, and a backpack type carrying bag. never thought to wear them checking in at hotels. great idea. let us know if wearing gear gets you upgrades. i do know that once last year in maya riviera mexico, we had been upgraded to an unbelievable room. at check-out i mentioned that i would like to post about the room, and the clerk acted really scared-said the room we got was not available to general public, and asked me please not to post (was probably one of the best rooms i have ever been in and truthfully, never saw that roomgrade listed).did ask our travel agent about this when we got back, and she did know that some hotels do have special rooms not normally available.
