I have used this site to buy magazines at very good rates. Today it offered a 15% discount using promo code RENW15. If the free mags here are not all you need, check this one out but compare prices at other discount magazine sites. I am not affiated with this site and using my name will get neither of us anything.

Also check out some ebay auctions - some subscriptions are going at unbelievable prices and they are being sold by reputable sellers (one I looked at last night had US News & Report 1yr for $5.99, seller was at ebay since 2002 and had 1,000+ positive reviews running at about 99.8%).

Great price. At shopmags even with 15% discount a full year of US News & Report is $18.70.
I found http://www.magazinepricesearch.com/ that searches various sites for magazine prices. It had 40 issues for $5.00 and a full year for $9.00, beating shopmags but not your eBay price.
I have learned never to just renew a magazine. "Best" renewal rates offered by publishers rarely are. Always shop.
I checked eBay and not only was the $5.99 offer still there, 3 years (159 issues) cost just $13.88 (8.73 cents per issue).
However, Robb Report was $28 for a year on eBay and only $19.00 through http://www.magazinepricesearch.com/. Shopmags was over $35!!!
So shopping for magazines pays and there is no one sure source.
