Many of the offers posted in this forum (FT SPAM) for products of other companies seem to use startsampling as the back end. Although they are processed through startsampling, the startsampling website doesn't offer those freebies. Go figure. I have found the offerings on the startsampling website to have gone down hill over the years. If you participate in the site a lot you have a very slim chance of using the points you earn to "buy" a trinket. The trinkets are fairly worthless and the quantity offered is very small. I earned 10,000 points in my first year when startsampling started and have never been able to redeem them. In the beginning they offered something of value for 10,000 points, now trinkets is a generous definition. Every once in awhile they do offer something interesting. I find the FT SPAM forum to be of considerably more value. Thanks to all of you who contribute to this forum.

And I resent that they call their points "Tryer Miles." I've wondered if they use that term to entice the FF fanatics to join - thinking that Tryer miles might have some relationship with frequent flier miles.
But if you want a mini stapler or a memo pad (also available at the 99 store), go for it!

Just noticed that the link gives BESTBET33 credit as a referrer. What does that get BESTBET33?
