It just amazes me that we've gotten so beaten down as a consumer group by these programs, that we actually look for ways to blame the victims in these scams. Or at the very least, act like we wouldn't fall prey to their doublespeak because we are somehow superior to someone else.

I'm not sure I quite understand the distinction you are drawing, but at the moment, Coke is telling me to get lost (and if their employees don't completely understand the situation, they have more problems than just administering a program). However, Coke is taking a beating on their MCR facebook page, and it is acting like it might change its position.

The Minute Maid promo appears to be similar. Last night, I redeemed 10 caps for a $10 Fandango reward and I received a notification (in the upper right hand corner by the user name), as follows: "Congratulations! A free Fandango movie ticket is now available in your Unclaimed Rewards. Navigate to the Unclaimed Rewards tab in your Full Profile to claim it soon, as supplies are limited."

This redeeming (but not claiming) and then the reward goes out of stock has definitely happened in the past with MCR. A number of times this exact problem has arisen. In some cases the item was re-stocked and re-claiming was possible. Unfortunately, the normal solution (by MCR reps) was to return the points spent for the redemption. While not a park ticket, I would certainly request the points be added to my account (at least 60pts for caps) if a ticket will not be made available again in the future.

Yep, six codes. Remember if they have NOT been used for MCR you can still get your 3 points for them. That is why I always save a variety of used MCR caps for e-prize. Sometimes they come in handy!

Changes afoot on status?

While my status shows up on mycokerewards, it seem it's impossible to earn status at the present. I can't seem to find anywhere to gaining status points. I wonder if mycokerewards is finally going away from social networking as a requirement for status..... or perhaps coming up with some tweaks.....
