I work in retail. Most stores will only give you the value of what you are PAYING up to what the coupon says.

So if you are paying $3.99 they are only giving $3.99 even if the coupon says up to $4.99. Because they will only get back what they sell the product for not the up to value of the coupon.

Just like if the cost is $5.99 and your coupon is for up to $4.99. Then they are only giving you $4.99 and you are still paying that extra dollar.

It's people like you, Bluvsu2, who make our efforts at scamming extra bonuses out of our coupons so difficult!

Most stores do it your (the right) way. The fun last time around was finding the stores that didn't know any better, and credited the max amount on the coupon (and, if they can show they *did* sell sufficient product at that price, they probably can get reimbursed at that rate).

Angry Unhappy about 120pt to 100pt weekly limit change, Wednesday Deal Discontinued

To be honest, I think it could be unhealthy to consume 120 or even 100 points worth of cocacola product weekly but I too am not happy with the unannounced weekly maximum change.

I am one of those who reach maximum weekly.

For one, it's an odd number if you are accumulating 3point caps.... and second, it's a reduction equating to less balance in December (Gift Card month). Grr.

Official word from My Coke Rewards:
we reduced the weekly limit from 120 to 100 points as we prepare for new and exciting ways to reward our loyal fans with additional opportunities to earn points and rewards. We hope these new changes will give our fans more fun and frequent ways to make the most of My Coke Rewards.
Also Wednesday Deals are also discontinued.
Unfortunately, Wednesday's Deals have been discontinued. Be sure to keep an eye out for future flash sales and special offers.
Jiburi

(Did you know? (reading the fine prints of rules) Maximum accumulation is 10,000 pt/week (including bonus), and Sponsor reserves the right to expire points from previous phases upon reasonable notice to Participant....

What you are saying is, of course, true. But there are other ways to skin the cat. If Safeway is selling 12-packs at $5, but if you buy three, the price drops to 3 for $9.

If you go through the self-check lane, you scan two 12-packs, and then ask the self-check clerk to run your two coupons, and you get credit for $10. Then you run the third 12-pack, and the price drops accordingly. You get the third 12-pack for free, and an extra dollar for those Doritos you wanted.

I think we all realize that, but last year, CVS was routinely giving the maximum of $4.99, even though the price was only $2.50 or $3.00.

Same with mine, but the problem is that my Publix charges nearly $6 for the 12-pack, so even with two "free" item coupons, the three 12-packs still cost me nearly two bucks! Horrors!!

I used 2 coupons at Safeway and I got 5 twelve packs for $5.62 which includes the Ca redemption fee. If I would have got 4 12 packs I would have paid $10 something. I thought the sale was buy 2 get 2. I'm not sure what the clerk did.

CVS has a Buy 6 for $20 and get $5 in Extrabucks, so if you have 6 coupons you get your 12 packs for free AND end up with $5 to spend on anything in the store

Only if they do not read the coupon that says "Limit One Per Purchase!"

Great deal... will have to try as I have six coupons left.

The revised total is now officially $10.84 or 67.75 cents per package of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products, including sales tax after using the four coupons I received from My Coke Rewards.

Again, the entire experience has been quick, simple and virtually effortless — if you do not include lugging the weight of a total of sixteen packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products.

As my typical consumption of carbonated soft drinks is approximately the equivalent of one can per day — if that much — I will not need to purchase any more for at least six months...
I just purchased six packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products at a local CVS pharmacy for a total of $5.39 — or 89.83 cents per package of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products — including sales tax.

While not as inexpensive as last year, I will certainly take it.

This does not include the coupon for $5.00 in ExtraBucks rewards, which I have — but the ExtraCare card must be presented to get the savings; and I do not believe I have one of those cards. Still — with six packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products on sale for $20.00, this would mean that I could potentially get the six packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products for $15.00 plus sales tax.

While greater than $2.50 per package of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products is not that bad of a deal, I think I will skip it and use that $5.00 credit towards something else — if I can...

While the CVS deal is good, you can also consider using the coupons @ Publix (when they have a promo).

Last week they did Buy 2 Get 1 Free.
Example:
2 coupons plus ~$1 (they charge $5.49 per 12 pack here) got me 3 - 12 packs.

In the past, they have also done Buy 2 Get 2. Which would be an even better deal. But is difficult to know if/when that offer may happen.

----------

I actually won 2 Seaworld tickets in one of the sweepstakes. I only had one entry in it.

Actually a bit more that $1, since they also charge sales tax on at least two of the cases, and depending on how they ring it, perhaps all three. With a state sales tax of 6%, for instance, a $5.49 case attracts a tax of 33 cents so the cost of the three cases (using two "free" coupons at $4.99 each) would be $1.66 or $1.99.

Still a good deal, though.
