quick question about MCR points expiring. in the rules on the MCR site, it says you can't accumulate points after 30 Nov. and that you must redeem all points by 31 Dec, 11:59pm.

is there no roll over with the points? do they ever extend the redemption time? i am just a bit concerned as i am late to the game, have less than 500pts, and obviously missed some of the good deals earlier this year.

yes they have rolled it over every year for a few years....nothings set in stone but they will likely do it again for next year.

McDonald's Monopoly Game
Happened to stop by McDonald's for breakfast yesterday and today, and they're doing their annual Monopoly game. One of the online prizes you can win is 30 MCR points. I entered a total of 8 codes today, and won 90 MCR points, along with a $20 SpaWish gift certificate. ^

Happened to be in Wal-Mart yesterday and picked up a 24 pack of Coke Zero. On the box was a sticker. When I got home I looked closer and inside it was a Monopoly game board and a code for 30 bonus points. Won't be playing Monopoly but liked the 30 points. ^

I was never a big fan of redeeming MCR for PC points (execpt on the two occasions where they briefly slashed their price). That being said we are now about halfway through the 6 month Starwood featured partner era and to be blunt it has been been a non-event, basically a bust in my eyes. The only mention of SPG that I've seen on the MCR site is in some BS instant win game Sheraton is the hotel component of the winners package.

I know it won't happen but what I'd like to see is where we can redeem MCR for SPG points just like we could PC. Let's see, PC sells points to the general public at the non-discounted price of approx 1.2 cents each and SPG sells theirs for 3.5 cents each (or roughly 3 times the price of PC) - I'd be thrilled to get SPG from MCR at three times the price that they charged for PC.
