i thought points.com is just a portal to exchange points or miles, you cna earn priority club points through points.com using ebay i think, i don't know how that works though, like have to go through a certian link?

A couple of weeks ago, I got a MyPoints email about a service, but when I went later on to look for it on the drop downs, it wasn't there. I sent an email to their customer service through the click through link and they responded that this merchant wasn't a partner, sorry for the inconvenience. Yesterday, I received another MyPoints email from the same merchant they said wasn't partnered.
Weirdness.
I'm guessing it's a glitch on the MyPoints side.

I love MyPoints and I have gotten tens of thousands of hilton points through them, but their customer service sucks.
Case in point (kinda unrelated - sorry) they sent an email offering "MyPoints Platinum" (3000 sign up points and double points on purchases for the year for $2.95/month). The problem was my email offer was $99.95/year (an awful deal).
I sent them the simplest question asking if I could join at the rate others were offered. Their reply 7 days later says "we're investigating." I gave it another week and emailed again. They responded with "we're still investigating the issue, please allow 10 business days for us to look into it." And I'm thinking good night, are these people going through congress? But it was obvious they were giving me the run around. Two weeks pass and I email them again. They respond a week later and say "We're sorry, the window for signing up for MyPoints Platinum is now closed. Thanks for your interest in MyPoints."
Umm, of course it's closed now, you stalled for literally a month.
So, I feel stupid for caring about something so trivial, but irritated that they would waste my time and their own time making up lies and giving me the run around. They should have responded right away and said "Sorry. It's not possible." I would have totally been okay with that.

Do you mean Mypoints?
With Mypoints I sometimes have to send a copy of the purchase confirmation email to get points. Wait 6 weeks though. The pattern I've noticed is that if I go through Mypoints and then buy something almost immediately, the points post without a problem. If the auction ends a few days later, I usually have to email them to get the points. Must be something in how the link works even though they say it works for 7 days.

Ebay has changed the way they track affiliate transactions which is how all rewards sites connect with them. This means that Ebay will drop from some sites either temporarily until they change their tracking internally or permanently if the new ebay system (rover) isn't compatible with the rewards program.
There have also been a few tracking outages with Ebay so many programs will take them offline when notified of an outage to avoid the headache of trying to get manual claims etc processed. It may be a while until it is bedded down.
