I know there are already some threads that discuss this issue but they are buried on unusal titles.

Just redeemed for 2,500 Hilton Points and after they took my points and just before I sent my Hilton account number this is the message that is posted.

To complete this transaction: Enter your Hilton HHonors number below and click submit to ensure that your Hilton HHonors information is recorded correctly. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for the Points to appear in your Hilton HHonors account.

2,500 Points have been deducted from your account for this purchase

This is consistent with the amount of time my last redemption took. :td:

It takes Erewards about 15 seconds to make this transfer. Go Figure :rolleyes:

Last time when I redeemed MyPoints for HHonors it only took a day. I think they just say 6-8 wks just in case.

Is this the best use of Mypoints?

It depends on one's needs. I think 5000 united miles for 10,000 mypoints ( or 2500 miles for 5000 points ) is a very good deal. I have done it few times. In the old days i always moved mypoints to hhonors and also got certificates for marriott reward points. But transfer to hilton is quick and an easy way to top off that account.

we're all spoiled by "1 day" turn around mypoints used to have. i think we're now in the "just in case" territory now. mine haven't been posted and it's approaching 4 weeks now.

That is very unusual because my transfers ( total of 7 since the re-launch )
have been posted to my hhonors account within 2 to 3 days.

My Hilton transfers have been taking weeks since they redid the web site. I'm at a month on the last one, and it still hasn't shown up in my Hilton account. Used to take one day or less.

I redeemed 2500 MyPoints for HHonors as well on 12/15/05. Still waiting... no response to emails.

Been about 3 weeks for me...

My November Hilton redemption took 6 weeks. My December one hasn't posted yet. It's awful.

I agree :) The value is in how you can best use the reward. 1 airmile = 2 Hilton points in my mind. So both the Hilton Points and the Airmiles have the same value. It's how you enjoy the reward that counts.

Last month I flew First Class to the Big Island of Hawaii and stayed at the Hilton for 6 nights all free. Most of those points and miles came from charging everything on credit cards (Phone, Utilities, Groceries, gas, Prescriptions) and paying them off at the end of the month. Not one dime toward interest payments. A wonderful vacation for FREE :D

Mine have not posted either, and when I reply to their form letter, I get the same form letter back again about the 72 hours and the holiday. Is there any holiday periods in India that we don't know about?

Looks like almost all the good redemptions are OOS :(

I just redeemed for the 2500 Hhonors points, so they're back in stock.

And you'll see them in 2008!

But don't hold you breath that they will post this year!!

Today marked the eight week point from when I redeemed my first batch. Now its time for me to try to go after these points.

I redeemed my 2500 MyPoints for Hilton Honors points about 3 weeks ago and have yet to seem them reappear in my HHonors acount. :confused:

It's fairly disconcerting to see my MyPoints account decrease like that without seeing a similar increase in another account!

Mypoints I redeemed on 12/12 posted today--listed as "intellipost transfer".I emailed Hilton a few days ago-I wonder if that helped or it was finally going to post anyway.

Submitted for redemption 12/15/05, HHonors points in account today 2/2/06. Nice turnaround MyPoints :p I also emailed MyPoints a few days ago, but this was the second time I had done so. Guess we just have to wait it out :(

I redeemed 2500 MyPoints on 12/14/05 and still, 7 weeks later, have not seen them post to my Hilton account. I have emailed MyPoints several times and have received the auto-reply a couple of times, but, never a reply to my question. When I redeemed, I got the pop-up that said they would post in 7-10 days. I don't know what else to do.

Well, they must have fixed the problem with the time it takes to post the points. I redeemed on 1/31, and they just posted today. So it only took 4 days.

My 12/24/2005 redemption still hasn't posted, although I'm waiting to give them the full eight weeks before e-mailing.

I hate having to wait the full 8 weeks. I'm trying not to be pessimistic, but I know it won't post by then.

I emailed them about one that's still not posted after 5-6 weeks and, after 10 days, they replied:
"Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services. Due to contract obligations with Hilton, it can currently take up to 8 weeks for the Points to transfer."
...?

I submitted a redemption on 12/29. I have not yet received my points, and I also haven't followed up yet. However, on 1/31, I received this unsolicited e-mail from MyPoints Customer Service:

So maybe they were proactively sending out this sort of notice because they know they're having problems with HHonors posting timeframes?

I received the same email -- wondered why because I hadn't sent them an inquiry. Still waiting for my 12/26/05 transfer to post.

Nothing here either for my Hilton Transfer or points for my $90+ purchase from Overstock.com (900 points)

no, they don't hate just you :-) I tried redeeming MP - > Hilton points once and it took 8 weeks or more.....very frustrating, and like someone else said, one account goes DOWN, you want to see another one go up! Since i am more of a instant gratification kind of a gal and like to touch my rewards, now I just redeem points for gift cards. My experience has been 100% good over the last 4+ years, even during the holidays, if they aren't out of stock.

It is all frosting on the cake I am gonna have AND eat too since I get MP for buying stuff I'd buy anyways at websites I already use.....spend a couple hundred bucks at Office Depot then book a few tickets for co-workers through MP on united or travelocity, and buy my mama flowers for her birthday (a day late), then I can go to macys or barnes and noble :-D
