mine posted.. took full 8 weeks.. all is well now. :)

12/31 - Requested HHonors points; 2/20 - still nothing...
|
I feel like I'm trapped in MyPoints Customer Service Hell. I got an email response to one of my inquiries today -- a month and a half after I sent the inquiry. Their response? "We are in touch with the merchant on your behalf and are awaiting a response. Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for this issue to be resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience."
This is absurd. I have one redemption thats on its 12th outstanding week, and another on its 9th. And now MyPoints is telling me it may be another 6-8 weeks. |
After 8 full weeks mine posted yesterday.
|
My points finally posted as well..also took 8 full weeks. I'm not sure I want to transfer to HH again due to the posting delays.
|
Finally after 4 emails to Mypoints and one to Overstock.com, I received a personal reply concerning my Overstock.com points from Mypoints saying that they received the purchase info from OS, but since it did not list the subtotal before taxes and shipping, they could not award points. I went back to the tracking page on OS and pasted that into the email. No tax and $1 shipping. The purchase finall posted my 900 points.
Still nothing on Hilton. For the frustration factor I will now wait until I have 5000 points per transfer and not 2500, so I am not waiting for multiple points to post. JudyJFLA 6 weeks today on the new knee, and still gimping around...... |
Just got mine today... took about 7.5 weeks. Almost the entire time, but glad they finally posted.
Still, I think from now on I'll use my points for gas or restaurant cards. They always appeared quite quickly. |
I'm waiting on 2500 hilton points from December.

Immediate email back from MyPoints
I just redeemed 2500 MyPoints for HHonors and immediately got this email (despite my not sending mypoints anything). Why?

I redeemed on 12/24 - sent an email to them on 2/20 and received exactly the same email as Protexana by return. Yesterday my points posted.

My experience
My points were always posted in a timely manner to my HH account. It didn't take over a week.

I am at 12 weeks today. No Points and no response to my emails. I am done with these jokers the second my points post. This is just not worth it when I could just spend $75 at a Hampton Inn and get this many points.
|
Finally got my points posted. 7 weeks for an electronic transfer!! I guess we just have to learn to live with the new and improved MyPoints.
|
The saga continues....
This morning I found this in my inbox from Mypoints:
The funny thing is that I entered my number at the time of redemption, and that number is under the "additional contact information" in their original auto reply that has been going back and forth between us. They obviously have not trained their people where to find this information, so this will be an issue on alot of our redemptions. Dear Judy, Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services. We apologize for the delay with your Hilton HHonors Points transfer. According to your Account Statement, you placed your redemption on 1/25/06. Unfortunately we were unable to process the redemption because MyPoints did not receive your Hilton HHonors account number when you originally redeemed your Points. Please reply to this email with your Hilton HHonors account number, along with First and Last Name that is listed on the Hilton HHonors account, and we will process your request. Once we receive your account number, you should see the points post to your Hilton HHonors account within 2-3 weeks. Please let us know if you have not seen the change in your HHonors balance within the specified timeframe and we will investigate further. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any additional questions. Thank you for your support of the MyPoints program. Have a nice day. Best regards, Kate H. MyPoints Member Services |
finally got mine from december
|
Finally got my points today!
|
got my points -- took about 8 weeks
|
You have Got to be kidding!!
I found this in my box tonight. If you will remember in previous posts I HAD entered the Hilton number in the original redemption, and it was in every email that Mypoints sent to me! This will now take 14 weeks for a 2500 point redemption!! BTW the link at the end for the survey did not work either!!
JudyJFLA Dear Judy, Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services. I sincerely apologize for the long wait for both your points and a response from us. I found that the delay in your Hilton HHonors Points was due to a missing Hilton account number. Because you provided it in your email I was able to send that information off to Hilton. Unfortunately Hilton now has 6 weeks to post the points. Perhaps if you contact Hilton they can speed the process up for you on their end. Should you have any more questions please don't hesitate to email again at [email protected], Have a nice day. Best regards, Kate H. MyPoints Member Services Tell us how we are doing! Why not redeem MyPoints for Gift Cards?
I saw many of you were struggling getting the points redeemed... but why not try a Gift Card that is as good of a value? I've been able to get $125 work of Marriott Gift Cheques which can be used at any hotel to pay for a room just like cash... Then I get points for the stay, and the cheques come in around 7 - 10 days, and they can be used by anyone.
|
When I originally did the redemption, I entered all of the information. I then received the same email as ProTexana, also without having contacted MyPoints customer service. In that email "confirmation" it clearly indicated my HHonors number.
Yesterday I received the following email (still having never contacted member services regarding my redemption): Dear Member, Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services. We apologize for the delay with your Hilton HHonors Points transfer. According to your Account Statement, you placed your redemption on 2/13/06. Unfortunately we were unable to process the redemption because MyPoints did not receive your Hilton HHonors account number when you originally redeemed your Points. Now that we have received your Hilton HHonors account number, we can process your redemption and you should see the points post to your Hilton HHonors account within 2-3 weeks. Please let us know if you have not seen the change in your HHonors balance within the specified timeframe and we will investigate further. Have a nice day. Best regards, Steve B. MyPoints Member Services Please email all inquiries to [email protected] Since some of the responses posted here in this forum have been different, it doesn't seem to be a problem with generic emails being generated automatically... very strange. |
My 1/26 MyPoints ---> HHonors transfer posted today.
6 weeks and two days. The mule train from the Bay Area to Dallas moves pretty slowly in winter. |
The points redemption requested on 23rd December 2005 posted yesterday or today (it was not there two days ago), after 4 emails to MyPoints, to which I had duly gotten a generic/bot reply each time, the last of which about two weeks ago.
Not worth it. |
After reading this thread, I didn't bother to email; just put a tickler in my PIM for 8 weeks after 1/26.
I too got the strange email three posts up, a couple of weeks or so after I'd redeemed the award. |
Good News!
MyPoints to HHonors just posted for me in less than a week. I redeemed 2500 x 3 on 3/7 and they're all in my HHonors account as of today 3/12. :D
|
same thing here, got my 2500 points after 5 days ^ looks like it is back to normal
|
Still waiting since 12/20/05. :td: Last canned email request response was wait now for 48 hour response or longer. Emailed on Sunday so it must be the 48+ time frame.
|
I'm still waiting on my redemption from November 22. Sent them an e-mail on February 23rd and got the automated "you'll hear back from us in 48 hours" response. Finally heard back from them on March 13th saying "allow 3 - 4 weeks" before you contact us again. What a joke MyPoints has become!!
|
I think they have corrected the problem which existed at the end of last year. I redeemed 2500 points on Mar. 6, 2006 and the Hilton points were posted to my account one week later.
However it appears that if you tried to redeem before the system was fixed it will not happen without you getting someone to manually correct your account. |
Have you noticed that now on the redemption form it has you enter your Hilton number at the very top and not at the end, and you no longer have to enter your pin?
It looks like they reworked the form so that they could find the account number. My points to Hilton Finally posted! Now I have to figure out if I should try another 2500 or wait until I am at 5000, since I am at 3500 points again with more to post. Serenity now! JudyJFLA |
I took a leap of faith and transfered 5K last night..let's see how long it takes with the new order form.
|
I'm seeing an "Out of Stock" message today.
|
Why does that not suprise me?
They either must be saving up to buy the points after they receive their cut of sales from our purchases, or they have had a run on Hilton points from those of us that believe that Mypoints is not long for this world. JudyJFLA |
Quick question to all...for those of us who have been waiting for some time for these transferred points to post...are you contacting MyPoints of Hilton HHonors to get the situation corrected "manually"?
|

(I never knew single-letter names were possible here. Good way not to be able to be found on search engines!) |
Apparently you can...and I'm the "ORIGINAL" one!!!
Thanks for the feedback |

Yippee!!!!!!
Cashed in for 2500 Hilton Points on January 1st, 2006 and today my points posted to my Hilton Account. It only took two eamils from MyPoints responding ot an email I never sent and 3 responses that indicated that they didn't read the 3 emails I did send. What great customer service. Only 80 days and more effort to get the points than it took to earn them

My points posted yesterday, and it took about a month. I miss the old days when they appeared the same day.
