E-Rewards and AA miles?

I'm cashing in $100 e-rewards. does the AA 2000 miles require a flight like it used to? The e-rewards site is not clear. ( I know its not the best use, but gets me to another Scandic night with transfer.)

No flight required

You no longer need a flight to receive the miles (unless something has changed in the last 3 weeks). I redeemed this last month, took about 2 weeks to post to my AA acount.

Make sure you go for the max -- since they limit you to 1 transfer per year. Ugh. Putting pts into Hilton still looks like the best value however.
