Best value e-rewards redemption?

Now that the AA redemption has changed to 2000 miles per $100 in e-rewards, should I switch to Hilton Honors points, which would be 6000 points per $100?

Just curious to what people think are the best reward values.

Why not redeem for both??

I get enough to redeem 50 for HH and 50 for AA...I alternate rewards once I earn 50

Alternating awards is probably not the best idea anymore for AA, since you can only redeem once a year for any award with AA. But it all depends on what you're in for...I personally redeem for NWA miles, HH points (usually to trade), and Blockbuster certs.

HHonors seems to be the best value because you can transfer the points to almost any airline.

It takes 10,000 HHonors points to get 1500 AA miles. The answer in terms of miles is obvious. The only reasons you would choose HHonors points over AA miles would be that you have more use for the points than AA miles. You might want to use the points for a free room, for example. Or you might have no use for AA miles, but lots of use for miles from another airline.
