Do you think that they ship from the UK to the US?

I don't know. When I completed the survey, It said "thank you" and "allow until 10/24 ... to receive". So it appears they do. I'll find out by the end of October!

Thanks. We'll see if it gets across the pond.

I wonder if this is the same one they handed out in McD's "Adult Happy Meals" a while ago

Thanks missterious9 for sharing.

I wouldn't be surprised if we never get to see the pedometers - the sponsors will probably quickly figure out that such sudden interest on this side of the pond is spurred by the flyertalk!

Never hurts to try. The worst thing that would happen is not getting the pedometer. But it only takes less than a minute to fill out the form.

Indeed, no such luck. I received this e-mail from them today:

Thank you very much for applying to join the Wave 105 Everyday Sport South Coast Challenge. We have been bowled over by your collective response. During the registration period (and indeed beyond) we were inundated with over 20,000 applications for the free pedometers a number in excess of twice our anticipated response. Subsequently we have had to prioritise those applications from within our transmission area. This has meant that regretably, although we sincerely thank you for your interest in the campaign, many of you, outside of our transmission area have not received a pedometer.

The virtual walk from Exmouth to Dover is now well underway. Wave 105 & Everyday Sport would like to keep track of everyones progress, so if you have been lucky enough to receive a free pedometer, could we please ask that you log your progress on a weekly basis on our South Coast Challenge Steps Calculator by clicking on
http://srhdev.co.uk/wavechallenge/wa...allengereg.asp

You can find out more about the campaign by clicking on

Again many thanks for your interest in the Wave 105 Everyday Sport South Coast
Challenge.

I didn't get the pedometer either - nor did I get the email mentioned. Unless it went to my SPAM folder, which I just delete.

It is not surprising that it was not received, as I am 2-3K miles outside of their transmission area!
