Ahem.... Did you try reading the website whose URL was posted at the beginning of this thread? @:-)

http://www.settlement4onlinepayments.com/

It states:
In accordance with the Notice and the Court's orders, the claims period for the In re PayPal Litigation Settlement ended on October 23, 2004 at midnight. At this time, the claims period IS CLOSED. The judgment in this Settlement is not yet final and the Claims Administrator is evaluating all valid claims submitted in accordance with the Plan of Allocation as approved by the Court. Therefore, settlement payments have not yet gone out.

The settlement has been finally approved by the District Court. We expect short form and statutory claims to be paid by May 1, 2005 and we expect long form claims to be paid by September 1, 2005.
Also, in the FAQ section, it states:
The Court decided that everyone who fits this description is a Class Member: All Persons who opened a PayPal account between October 1, 1999 and January 31, 2004.
(bolding mine)
So, if you have any further questions or complaints, I suggest you read the website! @:-)

Me too!

Maybe I should buy a bunch of one-cent items off eBay.... you know, the kind that "feedback harvesters" like to sell.

Eight dollars will go a long way with items like that.... if you don't care what you're buying!

I got my $8 too but since I don't remember any specific disputes, I'm ok with that.

IIRC, you didn't have to "dispute" anything, there was a group, those that ended up receiving $8 (most people, I would guess), that you could file a claim as a Statutory Damage Claimant, which was basically, you didn't remember having a dispute, but...

I missed out on this. I wish I had read flyertalk this time last year. I'm sure I received the e-mail from them, but I probably deleted it because I thought it was another scam paypal e-mail. Oh well. I don't feel so bad since someone posted that they got $13 from the settlement. I might have qualified for more since I did have my account frozen by them during that time period.

There were 3 groups, I believe, based on what you were claiming, and what form you completed. The lowest one received $8.
