e-rewards & AA reward

How does the AA bonus miles reward work? I'm trying to determine if this is something that would be easy to trade.

I do not believe that you could trade this. I think that the name on the e-rewards account has to match the name on the AA account.

Agreed with above. Also, there have been some very good threads recently that go into great details about the award. Do a search and you'll find them.

Well not necessarily true.
All that is required when you redeem the AA award is that you insert the Advantage # in the box provided.
FYI I have been able to get awards creditted to my AA account by claiming it from my wife's e-rewards account ( she uses a different surname)

Now a trade would be a little more complicated since the person with the
e-rewards account would have to wait 2 or more months before a qualifying flight would be able to taken.
