Sears?
Anyone know of any coupons or deals with Sears? I am about to spend 1-2k on washer dryer and obviously want to minimize the outlay.
Thanks in advance

I'm not a big Sears shopper but when we were going to purchase an expensive item there, they told us if we got their credit card we would get 10% off of our first purchase. That might work for you if you don't already have the card.

I've personally always found local appliance stores to have better prices than Sears and also work with us more on warranties, delivery and the like.

In addition, the Sears Gold Mastercard could be enrolled in their "Sears Choice Rewards" program (cost = $1 for 1st year & could cancel afterwards), & it appears that one could squeeze out another $25 back, in the form of a gift card, after $2500 worth of purchases had been charged to the card.
Lastly, charging to the Sears Gold Mastercard (or another Gold or Platinum MC) would extend the "in home repair" aspect of the associated warranty by another year.
If it's possible to avail of all of these, one could:
(1) get a 10% discount w/ first use of a Sears Gold Mastercard
(2) get 0% financing until Oct 2004
(3) extend the in-home repair aspect of the warranties by another year
(4) enroll in the Sears Choice Rewards program for $1, & garner another $25 back after $2500 had been charged to the enrolled Sears Gold Mastercard
(& then cancel membership in the Sears Choice Rewards program, & go on one's merry way)

I don't know of any coupons, but if you're with LA DWP you get rebates.
I just bought a new washer and got a $50 rebate from Sears (basically, it's a rebate on the delivery cost of $50, so if you pick up your washer yourself, you really get $50). Maytag was offering a rebate of $75, DWP is offering a rebate of $100 and SoCal Gas Co is also offering a rebate. I think the time on this is limited, so you have to act quickly.
Edited to add that this is on front-loading washers, which are much kinder to your clothes, too.

DM miles thru Sears purchases also
You can go through the Dividend Miles Shopping portal and get 2 miles/$ as well. Has anyone had any luck doing this? I am looking at buying appliances for my new home.

Sears once was known for its quality and guarantee. Unfortunately it aint so any more. For some really cheap prices try to locate a "overstock and dent" Sears outlet. I have neighbors who were pleased shopping at the one in DE. http://www.channeladvisor.com/Mercha..._locations.htm
