CA Board of Equalization now accepts CC payments

California Board of Equalization is now accepting MC, AMEX, Discover, Novus payments for sales and use tax. However, they do charge the 2.5% fee. I don't find this a good deal, but some might.

Yeah, I've avoided paying any taxes (income or property taxes) using a cc because of the fees, which usually do seem to be about 2.5%.

However, bonus mile/point opportunities could make it (almost) worthwhile. Until January 15, Starwood Amex has double points on individual purchases over $500 (it has a low cap, though). See the Starwood forum for the thread that has the details (which are hazy in my mind).
