You can always check websites for coupons.

I prefer www.dealcatcher.com

Took a look there are a few coupons there for Dell laptops, etc.

Good luck.

Dell doesn't do a lot of Coupons for Systems. They only try to push Software & Accesories & refurbished Systems with help of Coupons.

If they bring out $100 off a system coupons you usually pay shipping ($99) value.

However there is one $25 off $ 500 System Coupon.

I got this from my August 2003 Dell mailer:

go to www.dell.com/10off to get a coupon for 10% off your next order

If you're planning on buying a Dell computer, you may want to consider Upromise. They'll give 2% of your purchase towards a 529 plan (a tax shelter for college tuition.) Check it out at www.upromise.com
You can probably combine this with any coupon.

As mentioned, DealCatcher.com is excellent for Dell discounts. I also highly recommend Techbargains.com.

Like Upromise, you can also get 2% back at Ebates, but they actually send you a check (4 times a year anytime that your balance exceeds $5.) They even give you a $1 when you open your account if you use the link in the post.

Dell announced major price cuts today - so hopefully this will be better than a coupon.

Does dell still do the deal that are something like:

$300 off a computer priced $1,000 to $1,500
$600 off a computer priced above $2,000
etc.??

They used to do that every few months a year or two ago. I'll be looking to buy a Notebook next year and I'm hoping deals like that continue.

I look for Dell deals on the site www.gotapex.com they seem to list a lot of specials Dell has from time to time. I have ordered a lot of Dells over the years and the best time to order is around Dell's end of year and end of quarter.

I've got 2 $220 Dell discount certificates. You can find what they are good on at www.dell.com/smb/celebration. These appear to be all desktops and no laptops though, so likely not helpful.

I've been told their pricing changes frequently and is sometimes lowest right before midnight. I have also noticed that I get different prices and discounts on the same computer when I use a different computer (e.g. homes versus office). So it pays doing your research.
