MyPoints to MR different than to HH?
Up until now, I have always been dumping MyPoints into HH program, but switched recently to putting into Marriott Rewards. Does the process work the same, because after clearing my pending redemption section of MyPoints, the 1,000 points have yet to show up in my MR account. Is it all done in the computer like the HH transfer, or is there a paper certificate that gets mailed to me and then I have to send that in to MR?
Anyone?

Yes, it is a paper cert. and it can take several weeks to receive. I used to redeem from mypoints to MR, but got tired of the slowness of the process. Now I do the Hilton transfer.
BTW, you might want to photocopy your paper cert. before you send it to MR. Just in case.

As of today, still have yet to receive any cert's from MyPoints and this is going on 6 weeks. I'll give 'em another few days, then let the annoying begin.
If I'd known it was this much bother, I'd have just kept transfering to HH instead of MR. Is 6 weeks waiting for paper cert's in the mail standard operating procedure for MyPoints?

I've only waited about three weeks so I'll be anxious to hear what Mypoints says if you call them. Have they deducted the points from your account yet? The emails I get still have my point total reflecting the preredemption amount. Stan

If you check your account/weekly summary and go to the week you made your Marriott request, the date should be listed on when they will process. My recent experience in January was that they listed as processed, the customer service people via phone stated they were sent in January, but the postmarks on the envelope when I received them were four weeks later for all three redemptions.
Pure speculation on my part is that the request took place while they were transitioning between a 30 day processing time to the new 60 day processing time.
On a different matter, I made three requests for Marriott certificates in December and have not received them not any return communication to four requests. Seems like these certificates have no control over them and if they don't make it into your mailbox you are SOL.
I've earned almost 140K Marriott points to date...I'm only a few thousand away from a 200K award! It will be my luck that it will probably increase to 250K.
