MyPoints have "captured" my redemption for 2,000 Hilton HHonors points on 2/13/2003. I am still waiting for them to show up in my Hilton Hhonors account. I have emailed MyPoints several times. First reply said it would take 7-10 days for the points to show up. Nada.. So, sent them another email and along came their second reply. This time they said it would take between 4-6 weeks for them to show up in my HH account. What gives? Why the difference reponse?

I'm also waiting. When it was time to transfer, I transfered only 1000 MyPoints, keeping the rest in my MyPoints account. I do am waiting to see if they will show up in my Hilton HHonors account. Once they DO post, I'll transfer the rest.

Maybe bad news for all of us. I am also still waiting for my points tranfer to Hilton, but today received this e-mail:
Dear Member:
We are writing regarding the status of your MyPoints account. Due to some
confusion surrounding your account, it has
been temporarily disabled. We would like to reactivate your account so
that you may continue to earn and redeem Points.
However, in order to aid our resolution of this situation, we are
requesting that you fax us a copy of a valid State or Federal
Identification. This is a routine security measure implemented to protect
both your account and the MyPoints program.
Please fax the document to (415) 676-2054, ATTN: Membercare.
Feel free to black out any information other than name, birth date and
photo which all must be legible in the copy. We will
be able to reactivate your account shortly after receiving the requested
document. We appreciate your cooperation in this
matter and thank you for your patience. Should you have any additional
questions regarding this issue, please contact us
at [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>.
Sincerely,
MyPoints.com
I only bought the AMTRAK ticket and registered as a new member with an overseas address which wasn't a problem. Why on earth would they ask for ID now? Anyone else had that? What should I do?

This seems to be pretty routine for mypoints.com. They are trying to protect themselves from multiple accounts of fictious people. Just fax them the ID. It worked for me and others.

I'm a new Mypoints member who did the amtrak/tupperware offers and read emails. I transferred 3000 points last week. I did not transfer points from my husbands account because of the previous problems with doing that at the same time mentioned here. They have not disabled my account or asked me to fax id. My 3/2 transfer has a date of 4/1 on my weekly statement and the 3/5 transfer has a date of 4/4 on my weekly
statement. It looks like a 30 day hold. And then maybe transfers will still be processed weekly after the hold.
Should I call now to see if they are going to want me to fax my id before awarding HHonors points? Should we continue to wait to transfer my husbands 4000 points until after mine has gone through? I don't want to cause a problem with our accounts but would prefer his points to show up at HH before May.

In response to an e-mail inquiry that I sent to MyPoints about missing points, I got this statement which may explain why they are holding some point transfers.
"Please note that Points earned at participating sites are credited to
your account as soon as we receive confirmation of the transaction from
the vendor. This means that Points for making a purchase or registering
for an online service, may take up to 20 business days to post to your
account balance. Points then become available to spend 30 days later. "
Sounds to me that you must hold the points in your account 30 days before spending them.

Normally Mypoints transfers to Hilton occurred on Thursdays for me, last week nothing after my two amtrak purchases, then today, the points finally posted to my Hilton account. Who knows what is happening over there.

I just logged into my HHonors acct, and my points have been txfrd!
Intellipost transfer 2,000
Intellipost transfer 1,000
In my MyPoints Weekly Statement however, it has 3/31/2003 as the date for the debit for the 2K pts txfr and 4/4/2003 for the 1K pt txfr- but they're already in my HHonors acct!
Two other 1K pt txfrs haven't showed up in my HHonors online acct balance yet, and their debit dates are 4/5 and 4/10/2003; so maybe they'll post in a few days?
This new txfr process is a strange one.

I just checked my HHonors acct again (yes I'm wierd, but something told me to check) and I see another:
Intellipost transfer 1,000
So, I'm guessing that is the 4/5/2003 1K MyPoints. I'm guessing at this rate the last 1K will post in 4-5 days.
