MyPoints residency rules bite
As a Canadian I have grown used to being excluded from many airline FF and online reward programs promo's, contests, etc.
But can anyone explain why I and other Canadians shouldn't be allowed to claim the MyPoints offer of 50 points for downloading the e-book "Outstanding Wines under $15" as shown in the Try It Out section. Why does an e-book, which requires no shipping, have a U.S. residency requirement? It's an e-book!
I've already sent a nasty e-mail to MyPoints about this offer as I see this as unfair. Time to stop being a polite Canadian.

You should try being from a non-North American country then. We get much more exclusions than Canadians. The simple answer, I'm afraid, is to use a US friend's address for all such programmes.
