process for e-rewards to Hilton HHonors
Hi,
Keen to know if any other FT'ers have any tips on the transfer of e-rewards to HH points. Is it hard to do? how long does it take? do e-rewards issue you a certificate? do names need to match EXACTLY? (ie middle name is in HH a/c but not in e-rewards a/c).

I transfered to Hilton and I think it was automatic. The e-rewards site asks for your Hilton number and password - I think. I know it was an immediate thing. Very painless.

I just now finished redeeming $75 for 5,000 points. I needed my e-poll user name and password and my Hilton Honors number and password. It took all of 2 minutes. When I finished I clicked over to Hilton and the points had already posted. I like that no fuss no muss.

This is a little late for you, but for others:
As of next month you can get 2500 AA miles for $50, and then transfer those to Hhonors for 5000 points. It is a little better deal than 5000 points for $75.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually calculated that into my thinking. Since you can claim only 1 reward per year from each award category and you can't claim the AA one until after Jan 1. I decided to claim the Hilton points now so I could reset that for next year. A couple of more e-mails and I'll have enough to claim the AA one after the first of the year and start on another Hilton award.

I am having problems getting the Hilton points to post. I go to the rewards page and put in my data and get an error message that the Hilton PIN is wrong. I have put in all combinations of the old HH # and PIN and the new username and password with out results. Same thing - PIN wrong!
Any suggestions; everyone else seems to have no problem.
Thanks

Yes, I just tried to redeem for some HH points and received an error page due to an "internal error" my transaction could not go through. Anyone have any luck in 2003 redeeming for HH points?

Thanks for the tip - I just redeemed for HH points. Like you, I had to submit it a few times.

Important Note for those wanting HHonors Points from E-Rewards!
Starting January 7, 2003 you can redeem E-Rewards dollars for the following on AA:
$25 E-Rewards = 1,000 AA miles
$50 E-Rewards = 2,500 AA miles
Effective January 1, 2003, HHonors changed the rewards Exchange program so that:
5,000 AA miles = 10,000 HHonors points
So, if you really want HHonors points and have some miles in your AA account, it makes much more sense to take AA miles then do a coversion to HHonors, unless you have a lot of E-Rewards dollars to redeem (noting the restriction that you can only redeem from a partner once each calendar year in the E-Rewards program) or if you don't have AA miles since you have to transfer in 5,000 mile increments.
For reference, the E-Rewards rates for HHonors are:
$25 = 1,000 HHonors points
$50 = 3,000 HHonors points
$75 = 5,000 HHonors points
$100 = 7,500 HHonors points
$250 = 25,000 HHonors points (this level is the same as the $50 E-Rewards -> 2,500 AA miles -> 5,000 HHonors point rate)

I still cannot get my HH points to post from the e-rewards web site I get an error message that the Hilton PIN is not correct although I can log onto my Hilton account with it without problems. Those who have been successful:
which did you use - your Hilton account # and old PIN (that used to be printed ont he statements) or the new username and password? or something else. Any help would be appreciated. E-Rewards has not answered my email to them about this. Thanks
