Gateway comp - Goldpoints or Ebates?

Gateway comp - Goldpoints or Ebates?
I need to buy a few computers at around 2,000 each. I could buy them through GoldPoints and get 10 pts/$, or get 1% from Ebates. I have no Goldpoints now, but that seems like a better choice. Any thoughts or experience with either program?

How do I sign up through Radisson?
Anyone have more experience w/ this in terms of problems getting points to post? What are some of the better awards?

Radisson participates in GoldPoints, but other merchants (such as TGI Friday's, Thrifty car rental, etc.) are part of the proper program, as well. If you sign up for Radisson's GoldRewards (through the www.radisson.com website), you are effectively signing up for a GoldPoints account. The only difference is that if you sign up through Radisson, you'll be able to redeem the GoldPoints 8:1 for airline miles with many airlines, instead of the normal 10:1 with only Delta, USAir, and one or two others. (This ratio once was 4:1 versus 10:1, so it was a great deal back then). One catch is that you have to have at least one Radisson stay in the past year to get the 8:1.
In any case, I think whether you get 10 or 8 points per mile, you're getting a decent deal. Plus, GoldPoints can be redeemed for Radisson hotel nights (US only!), car rentals, etc. I don't know anything about eBates... it sounds like that program that went bankrupt a year or two ago...
But, GoldPoints and Radisson (owned by same company, by the way) have pulled some mean tricks on members the past year (go see Radisson forum), so that is one thing to keep in mind.

Also, be sure to get the Gold Points credit card for the up front points.
