To get the 500 miles, make sure you choose the option of earning AA miles (so that you can enter your AA number AND enter the Promo code above).

It appears that you will get 1000 Baymont Points upon sign up and 500 AA miles later (as of posting I do not have the miles but I do have the points).

Wow...that was a ton of reponses in a hurry.

I signed up with my AA number as the default because this is a promotion from American. The site doesn't give guidance as to how you get your 500 miles, so I am assuming that choosing them as your airline of preference (and thus entering your AA Number) will get you the 500 miles. I would guess that after you get the 500 miles, you could switch to another carrier if you were to actually stay here.
