50 MyPoints

I got this one in an email, but it is also available from the MyPoints website.

On Earn Points -> Business Center, there is a box for FreeBizMag. You get 50 MyPoints for filling out a quick profile to see if you qualify for any free business magazines.

I filled out "Other Industry"/"Unemployed", "Other Function/Student", "Non-Supervisory/Student" and managed to not qualify for any magazines.

It says that "MyPoints will award you 50 Points for simply attempting to qualify for free business magazines", so presumably I'll get the 50 points even though I didn't "attempt" very hard.

Ha! I "attempted" to qualify a while ago and didn't, but I never got the points and I was on their spam list forever. You be warned.

True. I never got them for attempting, either. Contacted Mypoints and nothing ever came of it.

Just say that you are management/owner and you will qualify for some pretty funky mags. I usually don't take them since I hate to have them waste the money for something I will toss.

I tried and qualified but deleted the original mypoints email. Can someone who still has it please let me know how many days it takes (or is supposed to take) for the points to post? I want to know so that I can whine appropriately if my points don't post.
Thanks!

I have qualified and received magazines a number of times. I actually find Eweek to be quite good. When I qualify for other magazines, I try to make sure they are ones of general interest so that I can give them to a hospital so they have some free waiting room reading material.
