epoll cd

I got an epoll cd with a "special survey". It wants to install a bunch of stuff on my
desktop. Anybody done this? If so, do you think it was worth the trouble/risk? Can it then be easily deleted?

It is a pretty lame survey for the STARZ cable channel but you get 1000 points for completing the survey and the software can be easily deleted once you are done. I am not aware of any problems after doing this and the points credited immediately.

Hope this helps

Ditto- it has an uninstall option from your Windows Start menu after you're done.

Although I would also check your Windows registry for left-over code that may be spyware. After this sort of software is used and installed/uninstalled, I always check for spyware with LavaSoft's AdAware program,

I had problems.

It said on the package it can be used with IE or Netscape.

I go to install (I do not have Netscape) and it says you need to make Netscape your default browser.

So I threw it in the garbage.

I installed it and had no problems... and then deleted it with no residual stuff (as far as I can tell).

Mine was on ABC/ESPN Sports.... college football programming.

At least we were actually able to do this one. The last one locked out any users the day I got it.
