Thousands of AAdvantage miles for kitchen items
http://www.cutlery-on-sale.com/aabonus.html is offering "enhanced AAdvantage awards," for example 10,000 miles with Wusthof knives, 2500 miles with an All-Clad fry pan, 5000 miles with a $169 knife set, etc.

A good set of kitchen knives is a great thing to have but yeah they're usually expensive.
The Wusthof 3-pack is the best deal, about 29.5 miles/$. The $799 set is the worst deal, only 12.5 miles/$.

Just ordered what I needed. Strangely enough, it seems like they dont credit your miles to your account, but instead send you out a certificate that is valid for the miles. Perhaps you have to mail it to AA to get credit?

Got my stuff today. You do get certs that you have to fill out and send in to AA for them to deposit the mileage.

Sometimes, promos like this where spending more money nets you less points make me laugh...Whoever decided on how many points to award for each purchase probably didn't major in math...
BUY: All-Clad 10" Fry Pan $94.95
RECEIVE: 2,500 AAdvantage Miles
BUY: All-Clad LTD 10" Fry Pan $114.95
RECEIVE: 2,000 AAdvantage Miles

Flintstone, it might not be a "math error." Since it says it is an inventory reduction sale, and they are clearly using miles as an incentive to encourage people to buy particular things they need to get rid of, they are probably just offering more miles for items that they really need to sell. In other words, the miles probably aren't related as much to the price of the item, as to how badly they need to get rid of the item.

Carson is right on the money. Remember that as a merchant, there are very little things more costly than inventory you already paid for that just sits there and sits there...
