If you want to risk losing the full value when gc.com goes under, here's how to avoid shipping charges:
1) Purchase a Supercertificate. There are no shipping charges for these.
2) Send the Supercertificate to a 2nd e-mail you have, i.e. a hotmail account.
3) Logon to the 2nd e-mail and redeem the Supercertificate for a physical certificate. No shipping charges to redeem a Supercertificate.
These three steps can be accomplished in 30 minutes. Actually receiving the certs can take much longer ...
BTW, if you go through Mypoints, you'll get Mypoints points.

Thanks all. I do indeed use mypoints.com as my portal for the additional points and with all the rumors about the demise of gc.com, I wanted to get a few more mypoints.com points in for gc.com purchases that I will be making in the near future.
