Milesource...To Join Or Not To Join?
Just received an e-mail from Milesource offering 1000 free miles to join. Also get free bottle of mouthwash. Can't wait to hear my daughter's comments about that!
Judging from some of the comments I've seen on FT, I get the feeling that milesource is only marginally better than click rewards. Can I get anything of even token value, i.e. free movie rentals etc.. for the 1000 miles or is it more trouble than it'd be worth?

The run monthly specials where the award levels come down for certain awards. Awards start at 2500 points. Some people have had problems with getting shopping points to credit and not getting their rewards. So far though I have not had a problem with them except for the slow answer to queries to customer service.

For 3500 miles, you can get $25 gift certificate. You start off with 1000 miles to enroll + ~180 for filling out surveys. You can get 20 miles / day clicking on links. After a few months, you have enough for stuff without making any purchases.

I have to agree with bsay about the response time from their customer service. It is extremely s-l-o-w.
Also, another thing that I'm not happy about is how long it actually takes to receive an award. I have just redeemed 3500 awardmiles for a $25 Supercertificate. They said it would take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to receive a confirmation from Giftcertificates.com.
If you're okay with that, then I say go for it. Good Luck!!

If you are planning on signing up for this site as a second job it's great! You have to CAMP on these guys to get them to post your purchase miles. You can follow every rule perfectly and they still won't post. You will be spending enough time chasing them as you would on a second job. I've had at least half dozen Staples purchases that I still don't have miles for. There customer service is sooooo slow that I've given up. I can earn more miles spending the time somewhere else. Even at a rate of 1 per month! Additionally, They require that you use their travel agency to book a room using their "gift certificate" which turns out to be nothing more than an e-mail offering a $ discount if you book travel by calling 18002416400. A 21 day advance purchase is also required. I booked the Anaheim Marriott cheaper on the Marriott site then Milesource offered it to me AFTER the e-award credit! This sites as joke!!!!
