GiftCertificates.com Problems

I have been attempting to place orders through GoldPoints at giftcertificates.com (currently 75 points + 18.75 AA miles/$), using various coupon codes. None of the numerous coupon codes now available will work. Anybody run into the same problem?

I ran into problems early this morning. The first problem was that the link from Goldpoints wasn't taking me to the GiftCert.com site. That seemed to "work itself out" after a few hours. Then I ran into a problem with code for Nov. 23rd not taking. When I checked dealhunting.com early this afternoon, they mentioned that the code had problems early, but was now working. I was finally able to get it all to work at once! Code I used was good today only: $10 off $50 SMAFFTKY2001

OK, that one worked - thanks! Still can't get any of the other ones to take.

Also, Dealhunting.com is reporting that you can use this code several times. I just did it on my spouse's GP acct, so we'll see if it will go through.

I sure wish I knew how you were all going to GiftCertificates from goldpoints. After I click on the goldpoints link, it tries to take me to http://www.GiftCertificates.com/inde...22O%2AMPJpouaA which doesn't work.

The link from Goldpoints I have used is the one in the Home & Garden category. Hope this helps. Keep trying, as I had a lot of problems with the link early this morning.

Can anyone please tell me how long it takes to get the certs after ordering? I have 2 Marriott stays in Dec. and would like to take advantage of the 20% off.

Thanks in advance!

paradocs--the best way to order the gift certificates is to order a supercertificate first which comes immediately by email and then order the desired certificate. This saves the shipping costs and these have always arrived in about 4-7 days. As for the codes not working I have talked extensively with customer service and it seems the older codes were all diabled because of abuse. I get mixed answers as to what the abuse is.

I ordered a bunch yesterday and used the free shipping code for Goldpoints. I went back today to order some more and they will not accept the code now because I "already used it". But with 75pts per $ another $2.95 for an order won't break my bank. Good luck!

I tried to order through GoldPoints this morning and got the following message:

Error seems to be fixed - I got through to them with no problems. (This was through Home and Garden - but I think the link is the same through the other categories.)

Don't know if this works with Goldpoints, but with Mypoints, this is how I get myself gift certificates with no shipping charge and Mypoints points:

1. Go through Mypoints site to giftcertificates.com.
2. Purchase a Supercertificate to send to myself.
3. Redeem the Supercertificate for a paper giftcertificate to mail to me at home.

I use the same e-mail address for the entire transaction.

By doing this, I get mypoints points for purchases at places I'd go to anyway, i.e. Blockbuster, AMC Movies.

I've also gotten the message that the server was experiencing high traffic and was unavailable. I finally got in with no problems at 10:00 PM EST last night. Try late at night or early in the morning.
